Linen Tablecloths (and Cotton) are Out in Favor of Quality Polyester…Here's why.

Polyester is the butt of a lot of jokes and hey, we get it - we agree those “1970s dad pants” needed to disappear.  But modern Polyester has made some real strides, especially when it comes to table linens.  While there are still too many poorly made tablecloths, table drapes and cloths in poly flooding the market, product like Tablevogue sewn with Milliken Signature Plus poly is soaring in popularity.  Why?  It has everything to do with weight.  Tablevogue feels like a linen tablecloth or heavy duck cotton tablecloth with superior performance qualities.  Tablevogue is made with a 6.2 ounce weight of polyester that won’t shrink, fade or pill.  Unfortunately, linen tablecloths and its cousin cotton will shrink, pill and lint - limiting use and fit.  When it comes to transforming a folding or banquet table this is especially important and some what confusing to the consumer. Manufacturers make everything sound the same online and since you can’t “feel” the product you are buying - price becomes a motivator which can backfire.  Linen tablecloths, cotton tablecloths and table drapes come in a variety of prices which reflects the weight….the cheaper the price the lighter the weight and lightweight for covering folding tables is not practical.  So the consumer is smart in making a distinction between tablecloths and table covers.  Tablecloths are for a kitchen, dining or tables that can work without the cloth and table covers are for “covering” the entire table where the legs are neatly disguised with fabric qualities that can be used time and time again.Tablevogue is a table cover made with the very best USA Made fabric that won’t pill, lint or shrink and feels like it’s linen and cotton tablecloth counterpart - only better.

Unapologetically Better :-)
